| This high performance EL34 is manufactured as the original Mullard valve in the Svetlana factory in Russia, and is designed to be a direct replacement for any EL34/6CA7, or equivalent. It is intended for ultra-linear audio power amplifiers in either pentode or triode connection and single or push-pull/parallel configuration. The valve has an indirectly heated oxide cathode which can be operated from a suitable DC supply for the best hum/noise performance. The anode is made from a laminated material that improves heat transfer and has superior performance under overload conditions - often found in guitar amplifiers. The quality manufacturing and processing provides enhanced reliability and superior sonic performance. The high sensitivity of a pair, or quad, Svetlana EL34s is an economical method to achieve high quality sound with a minimum of driving stage components. The valve can be operated in any position. |
